Scripture Purse

My little girl is getting so big! She is turning 5 this week. But before the water works start, let me share my easy peasy creation with you.

I decided to get Sadie a new Book of Mormon for her birthday and wanted her to have something carry it in so it didn't get so thrashed like the last one. I was just going to cover it, but as I was browsing at Michaels the other night, I found this plain white napsack in the dollar bins. SCORE!

I already had everything else I needed. I threw together the CTR with Sadie's name over the top, and printed it onto to an iron on transfer. I have had the transfer paper for a few years, so when I ironed it on, it didn't go on evenly, so it has a bit of a distressed look to it. Not what I had in mind, but it works. I had the ribbon and was going to sew it on, but after realizing what it was going take to dig my sewing maching out, I just grabbed my glue gun off the shelf and went to work. I glued the two ribbons together and then glued them onto the bag.

Not too bad for a buck!
