Born On The 4th Of July!

I'm so excited for Independence Day this year! I've seen so many cute things in the blogospehere and found a few things I had to make.
Starting with this beadboard flag.

Isn't it AWESOME!
Thank you Brown Paper Packages.

And I couldn't resist making a patriotic monogram! The only thing I ran out of time for was my "freedom" banner. Maybe next year!

Father's Day

Father's Day is right around the corner!
I made a few cards. I saw this style and thought they were the cutest. I just used some Scraps I had. Fun!

I found this free printable and knew I wanted to make it for my father-in-law. I printed it out, painted the wood and tacks and ModPodged over it.

Happy Father's Day

So I found this great short tutorial on the Kimbersen Blog
http://kimbersenly.blogspot.com/2011/06/fathers-day-gift-idea-motivational.html
What a FANTASTIC Idea!
So I followed her directions and created my own in PowerPoint. I uploaded to Snapfish and it should be here in a day or two. Super Simple, Super Thrifty.
Total cost $2.99.
That's my kind of present!

I Can Sew! (sort of)

Today is the last day of Kinder for our little Sadie girl!
So a couple weeks ago I got the bright idea that I wanted to make a cute skirt for Sadie's Kinder program. I went to the fabric store and bought the fabric and that's about all I did.
So yesterday the procrastinator in me said, "Hey, I need to get that skirt done for tomorrow!" so I dove right in.
I LOVE IT!
It turned out SOOOO cute. A little too long, but fun!
Then again, the procrastinator in me decided this morning before she left for school that I needed to make a matching hair bow!
TADAAAA!!!!!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!
This is my awesome hubby making dinner in his mother's apron. Ahhh, isn't he cute!

I made this for my mother in law. She had mentioned before that she needed something to hang some of her jewelry on. I should have taken pics along the way in making it, but coulda woulda shoulda. I took a thin light weight board, adhered some batting and covered it in fabric. The hooks were a little harder to get on, but I made it work.
I only put a few hooks on, but if she needs more I can add more.

Teacher Appreciation

It was Teacher Appreciation Week at Sadie's school, so I threw together a few items for her teacher. These were all ideas taken from different blogs, but I made them cute in my own way!

4 times a week the Kinders do "round-about rotation" with all the Kinder teachers, so I thought they all deserved a little something.
